Up to two prizes of £1000 are available annually to Masters students on a taught course in a subject relevant to earth sciences who have produced a dissertation of outstanding quality. Nominations are made by UK university departments by invitation.

Any Head of Department who has a worthy student and has not received an invitation should download this letter.

UKOGL Award (UK Onshore Geophysical Library)

The UKOGL Fund is designed to give financial assistance, a sum of up to £600, to each of one or more deserving students in the final year of their enhanced and extended MGeol / MSci undergraduate course in Earth Sciences at a UK university, to assist in the preparation of a thesis, preferably relevant to the geology of onshore areas of the United Kingdom.

Nominations must be made through the student’s Head of Department. The invitation letter is available here.
